TOPIC: The reality of Life
MORNING: Psalms 10:1-11.
There are certain realities of life that cannot be wished or explained away. Why do the wicked and the wickedness seems to flourish? Why does God seems to be too far and allow the wicked to oppress the poor and the downtrodden? From our text, the psalmist no doubt, felt all alone at this time. God seems to be too far from him at this particular point in time. The psalmist looked at the flourishing enterprise of the wicked and became down cast. The sayings of the wicked threw him off balance. See the thought of the wicked in verse 11 of our text, "He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten; He hideth His face; He will not see it." Even though then writer has honest doubts, he did not stop praying. Beloved, we are not walk with God based on our feelings or the circumstances surrounding us. As humans, we may feel all alone; but God had said, He will not leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5b). The reality is that no matter how spiritual we are, we will have some low moments of honest doubts; a time when it seems God no longer sees, knows or acknowledges what we are passing through. Once in a while, we may come across situations that will stretch our faith beyond limit (in reality); but we must hold on to the greater reality of God's word which emphasizes victory at the end of all battles, Therefore, ask God for the grace and faith to handle the realities of life as they come. God bless you.Prayer points: start with praise/worship.
- Thank God for another new day and for His word.
- Ask God to deliver you from the conspiracies of the wicked.
- Pray that God will no longer delay His judgement over the enemies of your destiny.
- Pray against whatever will want to make God to hide His face from you.
- Pray that you will not see situations that will overstretch your faith.
Evening: Hebrews 13:5-6.
Let's read our text again; "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with things as ye have; for He hath said, I will never leave thee. So that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear that man shall do unto me." God is not a man that can lie. He has promised never to leave or forsake us. We believe it and it does not matter how we feel. We walk by what we know and we know and we know that the Lord is with us. And if the Lord is with us, we are bound to be victorious in the battles of life. This is one reality of life. Receive grace to daily walk conscious of this fact.
