Recession: Jonathan shared money to avoid issues with governors – PDP chieftain, Emmanuel Ogidi

Vice Chairman of the People Democratic Party, PDP, South-South zone, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, has admitted that ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan never wanted any issues with the governors in his administration, which led to his sharing of the country’s treasury with them.
He said the action had brought Nigeria to this current economic recession, but called on the All Progressive Congress, APC-led government to proffer solutions to the situation.
Ogidi maintained that the APC should have known the problems on ground before campaigning for change, adding that there was recession in Jonathan’s time.
Speaking in Warri, Delta State, at the God’s Kingdom Society, GKS’ Feast of Tabernacles, Ogidi told reporters that although recession was global, the country was in economic trouble because there was no savings.
According to him, “When Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said we should save for the rainy day, the governors took on then President Goodluck Jonathan. He did not want to have issues with them, so they shared the money.
“If your campaign was based on change, it means you know what is on ground and will make a difference. So, why blame the previous government instead of doing your job? There was recession in Jonathan’s time. The difference is how you manage it.”

You are first person as far as am concern who say the truth abt the previous government and recession. But there is different between managing economy in recession in a controlled economy and the free market economy that we are facing now which the present administration did not envisage before coming to power. The president found himself in unfamiliar territory. So the solutions is not the govt alone to solve but the entire nation so all hands must be on deck in this situation.

Then the former head of state does not worth to be a president in the first place. If he think he is a push over person. He should know the consequence of his actions. The Governors forced him to share the treasury because he too, GEJ and Finance Minister or CBN Governor fiddles with the treasury Account. the amount they met today would be lesser than that they met previously. They all now concluded that the ideal is to share it than the indirect stealing.

Jonadaft is a daft President, yet most wailers would want to put the present recession on PMB. Let the record be put straight and let the wailer knows that their benefactor is a dull and moronic President.

This man should be giving Nigeria MAN of the year. A person who can speaks the truth about the actions and illegals acts undertakes by last PDP government his still belong. It’s confirmed what present minister for transport say that recession is in Nigeria while PDP was in government they only manage it by continuously borrowing; whereby putting Nigeria into deeper debits
