TyLa BLaQ(born July 5,2001) is a young rapper who is trying to carve a unique brand and style and it is evident in his latest(and first) song.
Over the years,there had been a problem of somewhat tautology in the Nigerian Music Industry as it became only normal for artistes to either sing about their love for girls or their wealth,fame and money or just praying for God's blessings.
Its cool..but we just get tired of it,when its getting too much.The vibe changes,beat changes,producer changes,but its still the same thing we're hearing.And Gosh! We just adapt.
In the midst of that ugly situation rises a young boy(or younger boy) coming to change things.Really?
He's also aware that GIRLS and LOVE has got attention in the mainstream and is not ready to risk going off the line..but he changed the way it is served.That's branding! That'swhat uniqueness is.For that,the 15-year-old is iconic.
We've heard songs that came out unique and they really blazed.Talk of Who You Epp(its amazingly also a freestyle),Ariwo Ko(sounds like a beef song tho'),Skiibii Dat(with touches of popular stuff),Ojere(Dremo),Give Them(Koker) and Zoro's Ogene.
Infact,Reekado Banks was trying to say something similar on his hit single,Corner.Another amazing similarity is the use of 'shapperly' but Reekado's was different.On the hook he had something like 'Meet me for corner',TyLa ain't got no corner.
While Reekado sounded victorious,at the end of the song,TyLa wasn't.We even heard the girl is still forming,till now.
TyLa BLaQ has come to stay and his first track,MOVE,though it had some flaws,is GOLDEN.
