How I made Obasanjo President in 1999 – Tony Anenih

 Tony Anenih

Former Peoples Democratic Party, Board of Trustees, BoT, Tony Anenih has disclosed how former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, emerged as the party’s candidate in 1999.
This was contained in his recently released book, “My Life and Nigerian Politics.”
According to Anenih, the former President told him, “you should take me to Aso Rock but how you do it is not my business”.
He said, “We got the first notice (as PDM leaders) through Lt General Aliu Mohammed, later national security adviser, that General Olusegun Obasanjo was interested in the PDP presidential candidacy and would like PDM’s support,” he wrote.
“Seven PDM leaders met at Bolingo Hotel that morning and agreed to support Obasanjo mainly because of his stature, inspiring role in Nigerian politics, his voluntarily handing over to civilians (Shagari in 1979) and also because of his good relationship with Shehu Musa Yar’ Adua.
“When his campaign outfit needed some strengthening and strategy, he called me on the phone in Benin from Ota one Sunday and when I came on line, he said it was Obasanjo. He then said: ‘Chief, I have two messages for you. The first is that you should take me to Aso Rock. How you do it, is not my business. The second one is if we win, you must be a part of my government.’ I was dumbfounded. Here was a former head of state making this passionate appeal to me. I replied: ‘Sir, let us take the first part of the assignment and later, God will decide what happens thereafter.”
Anenih said he met with Obasanjo in Abuja the next day, and he advised that they play the game by the rules.
“I told him we must obey the rules of the game and he also assured me that he would make sure that the rules of the game were followed,” he wrote.
“I began by arranging a dinner for the top hundred (100) politicians in this country at the place I was staying in Lake Chad Crescent, Abuja. After these invitees had all arrived, I then went to Nicon Hotel to bring him to the meeting. General Olusegun Obasanjo was surprised to see the number of cars parked around. I welcomed the guests after greeting round. I spoke to formally introduce General Obasanjo to the guests. I urged them to rally round him and challenged them thus: ‘If all of you put your hands behind him, there is no way he would not win the nomination on the platform of the PDP. He will simply not fail. He will win the PDP nomination and the election ultimately.
“All these various committees helped me (as national campaign director) and Obasanjo to make sure that he won the primaries on the PDP ticket and went on to win the general election convincingly.”
The former Minister of Works, had earlier revealed how he stopped former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, from being President.

How Buhari’s Rigid Leadership is Worsening Nigeria’s Economy – Bloomberg

Bloomberg, a financial software, data, and media company, owned by Michael Bloomberg, the sixth richest man in the world, says President Muhammadu Buhari’s rigid leadership style, is making the Nigeria’s economic problems harder to solve.
President Buhari as a military leader

Africa and the world cannot afford a failing economy in the continent’s most populous nation. Yet that is exactly what Nigeria might be getting: Its economy is on track to shrink by 1.7 percent this year, the official unemployment rate has more than doubled over the last two years, and inflation is at an 11-year high.

One concrete step President Muhammadu Buhari could take to address the crisis would be to eliminate the country’s disastrous foreign exchange controls. Instead, Buhari has made no secret of his desire to defend Nigeria’s currency.

And the central bank has mostly gone along. Despite allowing the devaluation of the naira in June, it is continuing to manipulate the exchange rate — discouraging foreign investors, creating a crippling shortage of dollars for businesses that need to import, and feeding a currency black market. To keep down the street price of vanishing dollars, Buhari’s government has arrested informal money-changers. More capital controls are in the works.

Dismantling Nigeria’s foreign exchange controls will doubtless cause at least a short-term rise in inflation. Yet doing so will not only draw foreign investment and make the economy more productive and competitive, but also cut off a conduit for corruption. Buhari can cushion the blow for Nigeria’s poor through targeted cash payments — an approach Nigeria has used in electronically delivering subsidies to poor farmers.

That same mechanism could also shield the poor from the regressive impact of an increase in Nigeria’s value-added tax — which is relatively low but a potentially valuable source of additional government revenue.

There are other ways to stimulate the economy, of course. But Nigeria’s Senate rejected Buhari’s three-year spending blueprint and an ambitious campaign to borrow $30 billion abroad because they lacked details. Meanwhile, his reluctance to sell off state-owned assets has undermined other efforts to raise revenue.

To be sure, Buhari faced ugly circumstances when he took office in May 2015. The plunge in oil prices had left the economy reeling and government coffers bare, and attacks by Boko Haram were ravaging the country. Yet while some progress has been made fighting both terrorism and corruption, Buhari’s rigid leadership style has made the country’s economic problems harder to solve.

Buhari’s election and pledges of good governance rightfully raised expectations across Africa. To fulfill those hopes, however, he will have to demonstrate more flexibility.

Suspected armed robbers kill Niger Delta High Chief’s driver, cart away 5m in Warri

 armed-men

Suspected armed robbers at about 9:45am today, in Warri, Delta State shot dead one Chidobe Nkem, a driver of Smu-Tuns House Nigeria Limited, a company allegedly owned by the Bolowei of the Niger Delta , High Chief Tunde Smooth.
The assailants also carted away the sum of five million naira, DAILY POST reports.
Our Correspondent gathered that the driver and the manager of Smu-Tuns House (name unknown) had gone to the First City Monument Bank along
Airport Road near St.Mary’s Junction to withdraw money meant for workers salary when they were attacked.
It was gathered that the driver and the manager noticed that a vehicle was trailing them right from the bank, hence they decided to navigate through the Ajamimogha link road to Mabiaku road, but a commercial tricycle in front of the Mercedes benz (e-class) blocked them and the armed robbers quickly shot the tyres of their vehicle and the driver, Chidobe Nkem lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road and broke the fence of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Anglican Communion near the “A” Division Police Headquarters.

Smu-Tuns House Manager was lucky to have escaped through the broken fence of the church as the suspected robbers opened the boot of the company’s car and carted away the five million naira before they escaped.
The Divisional Police Officer of “A” Division, CSP Kevin Zuokumor declined comments on the matter but a police source who craved anonymity described the incident as “unfortunate” noting that the police have swung into investigation while the remains of the deceased driver has been deposited at the Central Hospital Morgue in Warri.
When DAILY POST contacted High Chief Tunde Smooth for comments on the matter, he quickly switched off his mobile phone lines.

No BVN, no pension as PTAD moves to sanitize pension admin

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate, PTAD, has adopted a tough policy to sanitize the administration of pension in the country and give a new lease of life to pensioners nationwide.
To this end, the new leadership of PTAD led by Sharon Ikeazor, has opted to make the use of Biometric Verification Number, BVN, an indispensable instrument in the processing and payment of pensions to retirees nationwide.
Ikeazor, who is the Executive Secretary of PTAD, told media heads in Abuja at the weekend that BVN had been adopted as one of the compulsory requirements that retirees must possess so as to be captured in its database and be paid their entitlements.
Ikeazor disclosed that no fewer than 9000 questionable names had been dropped from the PTAD database as a result of the absence of BVN during verification and that more of such doubtful names would be removed as the agency moves to consolidate its database for efficient pension management in Nigeria.

Ikeazor disclosed that from the verification so far carried out by PTAD, a total of 220,000 pensioners had been established on the database as efforts were being made to extend the exercise to the North East, South South and other parts of the country by next year.
She said the intention was to build a credible and reliable database through which pensioners could be paid their entitlements as and when due.
She said that in a bid to pave the way for a transparent administration of pension, all officials suspected to have had a hand in questionable deals in the past had been handed over to the EFCC for trial while others had been redeployed on the orders of the Head of Service.
“My mission in PTAD is to remove the suffering which pensioners have been exposed to over the years and give back their dignity by protecting their funds, paying them promptly and serving them with empathy and compassion.
“I’m taking necessary actions to clear the database which I know is not very tidy and put in place a system of pension administration that will give hope to the pensioners nationwide.
“We also need competent and compassionate personnel to be able to give succor to pensioners in Nigeria. My mission is to restore the dignity to pensioners while I also keep my hard earned integrity intact at the en dog my assignment as the Executive Secretary of PTAD.
“We are also working hard to increase the number of pension offices nationwide to reduce logistics problems of pensioners and we are also designing a programme to go to where some very vulnerable pensioners are, to capture them into our database.
She also pro used to recover all assets of the agency being utilized by other organizations nationwide.
“We will recover all the assets belonging to PTAD in all locations,” she said.
According to her, pensioners must be given priority because they have fought for Nigeria. She also announced that 450 Biafra war affected policemen and 15 customs officers who are still alive must be paid their pensions, having been captured in the database already.

Nakked Man Thrown Out Of Home By Lover After Row During $ex (Photos)

A Nakked man has been thrown out of home by his lover, wandering the cold winter streets without any clothes, after having a row with his during $ex. The video shows the man got something of a frosty reception from his lover, who chucked him out on the streets with no clothes on after a row.
Police pulled over to save the cold man, allowing him into the warm car after the icy incident.
The incident occurred in the central Russian city of Irkutsk.
The mobile phone footage was taken by amused officers and the man can be heard saying: “Help me, please! “My girlfriend took all of my clothes and I can’t feel my legs.” The policeman opens the door and says: “Get in and you will get warm.”
The man went on to tell how the girl got cold feet when they were doing the deed.
He told officers: “I was having fun with a girl who lives in a nearby hostel. “We were having $ex, then something happened to her. “Suddenly she became scared, then someone started knocking on the door and that was it.”
It is not known what happened to the man after the incident.

My husband compares me with goats, wife tells court

A woman, Aderonke Ojediran, on Monday, approached a Grade C Customary Court, Agodi-Ibadan in Oyo State, to seek for dissolution of her five-year-old marriage with Oyeleke Ojediran, for allegedly comparing her with goats.
Ojediran also complained that she was seeking for divorce because Oyeleke had refused to pay her bride pride and had been
threatening her life.

Another reason for the divorce, the plaintiff said, was the lack of care for the only child of the union.
She told the court that “ I packed out of my husband’s residence in 2013 when I could no longer cope with the bad characters of my husband.”
According to her, sometime in 2013, her husband brought goats inside their sitting room and compared her with the animals, saying she is the same as the goats.
“He used to beat me and had been careless about my welfare and that of the innocent child we have. In fact, I am tired of the marriage and I don’t want to die young.
“To make the matter worst, he refused to pay my bride price, instead, he turned me to a punching bag and treated me as he wishes,” she added.
The woman further prayed the court to allow her to take custody of the child for proper care.
The defendant, who admitted that he brought two goats inside the sitting room, explained that he compared his wife with the goats because of her bad attitude.
He also agreed with the divorce suit, alleging also that the plaintiff’s troublesome way of life was responsible for his hypertensive health condition.
The President of the court, Chief Mukaila Balogun, then declared the marriage dissolved.
He said “having listened to the evidence of both parties, it is clear that there is no more love between the couple and they should go their separate ways as they stand unmarried.
“Custody of the only child of the union is to remain with the plaintiff and the sum of N3,000 is awarded against the defendant on monthly basis, being money for the upkeep of the child.”

Northern governors tackle poor power generation, sign MoU with General Electric for 5 power plants

 270813F.Kashim-Shettima

The Northern States Governors’ Forum and the General Electric ‎International, on Monday signed a memoranda of understanding for the construction of five solar plants that aim at generating 500 megawatts of electricity in some parts of Northern Nigeria.
Borno State Governor and Chairman of the Northern States Governors ‘ Forum, Kashim Shettima signed the agreement on behalf of the ‎Governors while General Electric’s Senior Executive, Western Europe and Africa, Mr Armand Pineda and the President/Chief Executive Officer, ‎General Electric, Nigeria, Dr Lazarus Angbazo signed on behalf of their company in a brief ceremony which held at Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
Based on the MOU, the General Electric which has 120 years experience in power generation, is to build five solar power plants to be located in Borno, Kebbi, Nassarawa, Niger and Taraba States which each of the plants expected to generate 100 megawatts of electricity totaling 500 megawatts across the 5 States. The electricity is meant to stimulate economic activities and social services in the affected States through boosting agricultural food processing, small scale businesses in addition to supplying electricity to schools and hospitals.
The project which is a pilot phase, is being coordinated by the Northern Nigeria Global Economic Re-integrationProgramme, newly created by the Northern Governors to serve as vehicle for the economic recovery of northern States through international relations on infrastructure, manufacturing, stimulate agricultural value chain and trade and make the region a global payer agricultural export in line with the vision of late Premier of the Region.

The Governors Forum led by Governor Kashim Shettima, engaged the services of Malam Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi as Cheif Executive Officer of the Programme. Kurfi was Chief Economic Adviser to late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua and he has wide contact with leading development companies and financial institutions across the world.
“The 19 Governors of the north jointly created this approach. We want to go beyond lamentation to provide solutions and we all know that power is key to industrial development. With power, we can create jobs, stimulate our economies and make life better for our people. The General Electric has over 120 years experience in energy solutions and they have been operating in Nigeria for over 50 years, we cannot have a better partner than GE. We shall do our part as Governors, this I will assure you. We are deeply committed to this agreement” Governor Kashim Shettima said at the MOU signing ceremony.
The Northern Governors Chairman enumerated challenges of poverty, unemployment, poor access to education, poor healthcare amongst other underdevelopment indications threatening the north while concluding that the power can provide a vehicle for the north to reposition itself for a better future.

The CEO, Northern Nigeria Global Economic Re-Integration Programme, Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi said he took up the challenge ‎put forward by the Northern Governors as a result of strong passion and commitment to aggressive development of the north as so far shown by the Northern Governors since Governor Shettima became the forum’s chairman in 2015.
Reaffirming their commitment to the MOU, General Electric’s Senior Executive, Western Europe and Africa, Mr Armand Pineda and the President/Chief Executive Officer, ‎General Electric, Nigeria, Dr Lazarus Angbazo both pledged that they would work round the clock to realize the project for the benefits of citizens of the five States.

Ondo Election: INEC manipulated results to favour Akeredolu – PDP

 dayo-adeyeye

Following the defeat of its candidate, Eyitayo Jegede in the Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has alleged that the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, manipulated the poll to favour the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Recall that Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was declared winner of the keenly contested election after polling 244, 842 votes to beat his closest challenger, Jegede who polled 150, 380 votes.
Reacting to the outcome of the poll, the National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, in a statement issued on Monday rejected the outcome of the poll, insisting it will appeal the result.
The party described the result declared by the INEC as a “charade and not the true reflection of the will of the people of Ondo State.”
According to the statement, PDP claimed that INEC has “graduated from inconclusive elections as seen in Kogi, Bayelsa, Osun, FCT, Imo, Nassarawa and some other previous by-elections in the Country to ‘Advanced Election Rigging’, as in the case of Edo and Ondo States Gubernatorial Elections.”
It reads further, “In view of the fact that the election was blatantly manipulated from the beginning to the end to favour the APC, we vehemently reject the results of the November 26, 2016 gubernatorial election in Ondo State. The election and all actions leading to it fall short of laid down principles guiding conduct of elections in Nigeria.
“We have instructed our candidate and the Ondo State Chapter of our party to proceed to the Tribunal to challenge the outcome of the election. We call on the judiciary to redeem Nigeria’s image on this matter as we request for the total cancellation of the election in Ondo State.

“It is common knowledge that the APC agents openly bought votes of the electorates in the full glare of security operatives who did nothing to prevent such dastardly violation of the Electoral Law.
“It is not surprising that the electorates in Ondo state became so vulnerable to the corruptive influence of the APC because of the harsh economic situation in the country inflicted on Nigerians by the APC administration which have indeed made all Nigerians virtually beggars in their own country.
“Nigerians will recall that we had persistently called for the postponement of the Election before Saturday, for at least two weeks to enable our party campaign and prepare properly for this election as a result of the setback orchestrated by Justice Okon Abang and the charlatans in PDP who allowed themselves to be used by the APC to destroy our chances in the Ondo State Election.
“The actions of INEC in collaboration with the APC led administration left us no time to campaign and sell our candidate and party manifesto to the electorates in Ondo State. Our persistent call for the postponement of the election which was backed and supported by more than 20 other political parties were all rejected by INEC which were acting the script of the APC.
“It was a carefully planned and well orchestrated strategy to rig the election well in advance by preventing the PDP from planning and campaigning for the election. The APC has hereby introduced a new formula of rigging election in Nigeria.”
Also, the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, had yesterday claimed that the INEC connived with APC to rig the Ondo Governorship election in advance.

Hidden Manna For Today, Sunday 27th November 2016

IHidden Manna For Today
apostle osasuyi

TOPIC: The Snare Of The Fowler.

Morning: Psalms 91:1-10.
A snare is a device used for catching small animals and birds, especially one that holds their legs so that they cannot escape. Snares of the fowler means "hidden traps." Because this trap is hidden, many are bound to fall prey to the fowler. Thank God for His assurance of protection in verse 3; it says "Surely He shall deliver thee from the snares of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence." God delivers His people from hidden traps in two ways- from and out of. God delivers His people from the snares(He will not let them enter it). He also delivers them out of it. The first promise is most important of some people, while the second is the best for others. Whichever side of the divide you are, He shall deliver you. This is God's promise to you. Just keep trusting and believing Him. Beloved, I don't know far you have been a victim of hidden traps. Deliverance is coming on your way. All their conspiracies against you and your household shall begin to boomerang. to as many that have been caught by these hidden traps. I see God sending His angels on assignment concerning them. Great deliverance is coming their ways today. they are releasing your finance, health, and all that their traps have caught before now. And because God has taken over your battles, every fowler's net shall begin to catch its inventors. Amen!

Prayer points: Start with praise and worship.
  1. Thank God for another new day and for His word.
  2. Pray that God will help you to escape every snare the enemies has set for you.
  3. Ask God to blindfold every fowler that is against your peace and progress.
  4. Pray that all their traps will begin to catch them.
  5. Pray that God will deliver you from the hands of those that are seeking your downfall unrelently.

Evening: Luke 20:20-26
Verse 20 says, "And they watched Him, and sent forth spies which should feign themselves just men, and that they might  take hold of his word, that so they might deliver Him unto the power and authority of the governor." Men set a trap for Jesus. They wanted to catch Him with the word of His mouth. These are the fowlers you. Thank God Jesus overcame them with the wisdom of His mouth. Tonight, I pray for you that God will help you to "jump and pass" every trap that the enemies of your destiny have set for you. You will never fall a victim to them in Jesus name.

Suspected kidnappers who disguised as pastors killed in Delta

Police arrest five over attack on Benue monarch

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the death of three suspected kidnappers who disguised in pastor’s outfit.
The suspects died following a gun duel between them and a police patrol team at Agbogidi Motor Park, close to the Onitsha head bridge, along the Benin-Asaba-Onitsha expressway on Friday.
It was learnt that the police operatives had stormed the park based on intelligence report and engaged the suspects in a 10-minute gun duel.

Confirming the report at the weekend, the state Commissioner of Police, CP, Ibrahim Zanna, diplayed the corpses of the suspects, saying his men acted on credible information.
According to him, his men were on the trail of the mole who reportedly fled the scene before he could be fished out by the policemen.

Zanna said, “The suspects drove into a bar in the park in a Toyota Corolla car allegedly waiting for their target, said to be a United Kingdom-based native of Asaba coming home for Christmas.
“On sighting the police patrol team, the suspects opened fire with spontaneous response from the police officers.

“Some brave persons at the motor park assisted the police during the operation,” the CP stated, calling on the general public to always provide the police with credible information that could lead to the tracking down of hoodlums.
“The police recovered the vehicle, one AK 47 rifle, one pump action gun, one locally made pistol with 19 rounds of 7.6mm, eight live cartridges, one expended cartridge and church aprons from the suspects.”

Ondo Election: PDP lost because INEC rigged polls in advance for APC – Fayose

 Ayodele-Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), connived with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to rig the Ondo Governorship election.
INEC, on Sunday, announced APC candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), as the winner of the polls conducted on Saturday, November 26, 2016
But Fayose said there was more to the victory that meets the eye.
He said: “Just as I would have loved to congratulate the winner, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), because in every contest, there must be a winner and a loser, the role of INEC in awarding victory to him in the election left much to be desired.”
In a statement released by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Fayose also alleged that INEC deliberately replaced the name of PDP candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, thereby causing confusion that lasted till three days to the election.
He also claimed that all political parties apart from APC, were now contesting elections against INEC.
Fayose said: “to sustain the ‘see and buy’ strategy and legalise money politics, the APC-led federal government deliberately created poverty in the country so as to continue to enslave the minds of Nigerians with peanuts to get their votes on election day, saying; “Dibo ko sebe (vote and collect money to cook soup) was the slang used by the APC in the Ondo State election and that only worked because the APC federal government have put Nigerians in abject poverty.
“Even though INEC allowed what appeared like a free and fair atmosphere on the election day, the election had been won and lost before it was held.
“For instance, INEC that witnessed the PDP primary election that produced Mr Eyitayo Jegede succumbed to pressure from the APC cabal to replace him with Jimoh Ibrahim, who did not take part in any primary election known to the Electoral Act.
“What could anyone have done under 72 hours in an election that was heavily monetised by the APC?

Anal Sex Is Not God's Idea For Sexual Intercourse, SEE: Five Major Reasons Why You Should Never Try Anal Sex

 1

Ordinarily, there should be only one (main) route to $exual satisfaction – intercourse, but in reality, people have devised several means to that destination, and one of the ways some people have adopted is anal $ex. This means $ex through the anus.

And the act seems to be growing, because in spite of the society’s stance on it and how much it has been condemned by some medical experts, a report by the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, under the United States Department of Health and Human Services, shows that 44 per cent of men and 36 per cent of women have had anal $ex at least once in their lifetime.

Apart from those who tried it once in a lifetime, a report by WebMD, an American corporation that reports news and information pertaining to human health and well being, found in 2015 that as many as five to 10 per cent of $exually active women engage in receptive anal $ex.

Notably, apart from consenting hetero$exual adults and homo$exuals, it has been observed that some of those who also practise it are young men and women lured into it based on money, while some children; young boys and girls, have been or are being $exually abused by older men.

Regardless, given that some have already embraced this backdoor action, it is however instructive to note that there are serious health risks attached to anal $ex, and some of these include:

  •  Severe physical pains
One of the many adverse effects of anal $ex is that it could cause serious physical pain, as the penile penetration could tear the tissue inside the woman’s anus, while the man could also feel some pain on his Pen!s. This is mainly because the anus is not lubricated like the vagina, thus, thrusting might bring about some pains, more so that the skin on the Pen!s is such a flexible one that is prone to tear on slight friction. Even though such people tend to use lubricants like cream, to lessen the pain, Dr. William Blahd, an emergency medicine specialist, who wrote on WebMD, noted that using lubricants does not completely prevent tearing of the tissue in the anus. While both persons may try to enjoy the act, it was also gathered that the pain after the exercise may not go away quickly, especially if the man has a bigger organ. Blahd would also point out that apart from the pain, consistent anal $ex could affect the functioning of the anus and affect the overall health of such persons.

He added, “There could be bleeding after anal $ex which could be due to hemorrhoid (a swollen vein or group of veins in the region of the anus) or tear, or something more serious such as a perforation (hole) in the colon. This is a dangerous problem that requires immediate medical attention. Treatment involves a hospital stay, surgery, and antibiotics to prevent infection.

  • Anal leakage:
While men who engage in masturbation have to contend with seminal leakage, in which case sperm begins to leak out of their Pen!s even when there is no erection, due to excessive masturbation, people, including women and homo$exuals, who engage in anal $ex tend to have weakened anal sphincter, thereby reducing their ability to hold faeces for a long time. Blahd explained that anal sphincter, which controls the closing of the anus after defecation, is a tight circular muscle that constricts and expands, but that due to repeated penile penetration, the sphincter would be weakened, “making it difficult to hold in faeces until you can get to the toilet.”

Also, a gynaecologist, Dr. Bolanle Shukra-Okesina, said anal $ex destroys the inner tissues and that such women or the (receiving) men, in the case of homo$exuals, could end up using pampers. She explained, “The anus has a locking mechanism that keeps it close when you finish defecating. So, if somebody continues to traumatise that area, that place relaxes and becomes slack, such that the anus won’t close anymore.
After a long time of practising it, the person would start having loose release of gas and stool because the sphincter in the anus would have become slack. I’ve heard a lot of young guys that put on pampers because of that. It’s also applicable to young guys who are being abused or lured into it by older men because of money.

  • Free ticket to STIs:
According to experts, $exually transmitted infections can easily be transmitted through anal $ex. According to Blahd, this is partly because if the penetration of the Pen!s tears the tissue inside the anus, it serves as broad opening for viruses and bacteria to penetrate the bloodstream of such persons, and the infections that could be transmitted in this regard include HIV. He said studies had shown that $ex through the anus is 30 times more risky for HIV infection than $ex through the vagina. He added, “Our external tissue has layers of dead cells that serve as a protective barrier against infection. The tissue inside the anus does not have this natural protection, which leaves it vulnerable to tearing and the spread of infection.” Even though using a condom could reduce the likelihood of getting infection, it has been said that condom is not an absolute (100 per cent) protection against infection.

Shukra-Okesina also explained that there are some organisms in the stool and some in the inner canal of the anus, which a man could easily contact during anal $ex. She added, “For people who get involved in it, they contract those organisms and so they are prone to having infections. And the effect of having to treat several infections along the genital tract is that it can block the tract, causing difficulty when they want to make a woman pregnant, because that is the same tract semen passes through.” This is applicable whether the man does it with a male or a female.

And it should equally be noted that the possible health issues connected to STIs include pain with urination and intercourse, vaginal bleeding and discharge, rashes, itching and odour oozing out from the genitals, infertility, reproductive system cancers and inflammation of the coiled tube at the back of the testicle that stores and carries sperm.

The anus has loads of bacteria:
As the canal for human waste (faeces), it has been found that the anus is a breeding ground for bacteria, and Blahd stressed that even if both of the persons involved in the act do not have $exually transmitted disease before the act, the quantum of bacteria in the anus are capable of infecting the man, and that is easily caught through the penile penetration. While anal $ex on its own is as risky as can be imagined, Blahd warned that the situation could be worse if the man and the woman engage in vaginal $ex after anal $ex. He said this could lead to vaginal and urinary tract infections, and the urinary tract includes bladder, ureter, urethra and kidney. And for those who like to put their mouths in the anus, perhaps out of $exual excitement or adventure, Blahd warned that 0ral contact with the anus could make both persons stand the risk of hepatitis, which is a disease characterised by inflammation of the liver, human papillomavirus infection, which could result in anal cancer or warts, which is a small, hard, benign growth on the skin, caused by a virus. Meanwhile, there are reports that some men who had $ex through the anus were found to have the hard-to-treat Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus, which is a bacterium that causes infections in different parts of the body and it is tougher to treat because it is resistant to common antibiotics. According to WebMD, it can cause serious skin infections, infect the bloodstream, the lungs and even the urinary tract. Notably, this infection can be passed among $exual partners.

Anal cancer:
Apart from the infections and other effects that have been identified, anal $ex has also been found to cause anal cancer. According to Shukra-Okesina, anal $ex could also lead to cancer, due to the changes in the nature of the tissues in the anus. She said, “On the long run, once the nature of the tissues changes, which is known as metaplasia, the mucosa, which is a membrane that lines various cavities in the anus and some other parts of the body and surrounds internal organs, also becomes infected over time. It becomes inflamed. And so these continuous abnormal changes of the mucosa would lead to anal cancer on the long run.”

  • 1. Thank you, car problems
We met a few months ago, but then lost contact. I was getting on a bus home after a 12 hour health care shift and he was on the same bus. He came up to me and we chatted and he said he couldn’t find me on Facebook. I realized that he may actually like me, so that evening I got his number and messaged him. Turns out we had both been interested in each other since the first day we met. We were also really lucky that he was on that bus that day, otherwise we probably wouldn’t have met again. He usually drives but his car broke down which was why he was on the bus. Thanks, car!

One day, I was walking around a crowded mall. I quickly walked past a shop window and saw a glimpse of the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. I was dazed to say the least and double backed to that shop, eager for just another look. It was my own reflection in the glass.
And I never looked back.
Just kidding, I met my wonderful wife at a friend’s party and she’s a treasure.

Nigerian Army needs eye glasses to see killing of Biafra agitators – IPOB

 biafra

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, worldwide on Sunday condemned the continued denial of the killing of its members by the Nigerian government, military and other security agencies.
The Nigerian Army had debunked claims by Amnesty International that its men killed over 150 pro-Biafran protesters, stating that the allegation is an “outright attempt to tarnish the reputation of the security forces in general and the Nigerian Army in particular, for whatever inexplicable parochial reasons.”
But IPOB stated that the denial means that the entire defence staff of Nigerian Army “need eye glasses to see the barbaric crimes committed by the Nigeria soldiers against the members of IPOB through out the period of peaceful demonstrations in Biafraland”.
The group, in a statement issued by its spokesman, Comrade Emma Powerful, called on world leaders to visit YouTube and watch the crimes allegedly committed by the Nigeria government and her security agencies against unarmed IPOB members during rallies and demonstrations in Aba, Onitsha, Owerri, Igweocha (PH), Calaba, Uyo, Asaba, Enugu, Bayelsa and other numerous cities to mention a few.

The statement reads, “The Nigeria defence headquarters should have asked for the video coverage from the media companies both international and local media outfits in the world after watching the videos from all corners of Biafra if they still doubting the killings then you understand that they are not a well organised institutions and any body still doubting or asking questions about this crime committed by Nigerian army against defenceless peaceful civilians, then that person needs to be under medical care for madness.
“The world now have the video evidence of the cold blooded brutal massacre of defenceless Biafra civilians.
“We want similar in controvertible proof to substantiate the cut and paste purpoted refuttal by the Nigeria army spokesman.
“We IPOB suggest the defence head quarters of the Nigerian army and presidency to watch the video again before coming out to make a mockery of themselves and the entire Nigeria

Rooney didn't let anyone down, he was let down by the smartphone assassins

Rooney didn't let anyone down, he was let down by the smartphone assassins

The England skipper has faced plenty of criticism for drinking on international duty but it ignores the fact that he was betrayed by those who took his picture and sold it on

A consequence of the mega money washing around English football is that players have left our world to live in their own. They don’t usually live where we live, shop where we shop, eat where we eat, holiday where we holiday. To encounter a high-profile footballer in the street is not an everyday event for most of us. There is a distance, a barrier between us and them in our everyday existence and that barrier is built with money. They have their families, their close circles and can live contentedly in that bubble without ever encountering any of us down here in the real world.

Some football fans - naturally - feel an affinity to players who represent their teams. They may even feel a sense of entitlement – that the players somehow owe a part of themselves to the fans. A former England international recalled that one of the main reasons he transferred to a rival club was that they were based in a bigger city. Fans there were more accustomed to seeing ‘stars’ around the place and where fewer fans would be looking for a slice of him.
For players, there is no avoiding a certain percentage of that kind of interaction. By filling a car up, or taking a trip to the local shop, players know they are likely to be asked for a photograph or an autograph. Mostly these interactions are normal, healthy, and usually leave the recipient feeling good. Players owe fans absolutely nothing beyond their efforts on the pitch; the fact that most of them are happy to make someone’s day like this should be commended.

But fans have a responsibility too because interactions work both ways. Take your picture by all means if permitted but don’t be a grass. Whatever you think about Wayne Rooney getting drunk at England’s team hotel, there is only one way to assess the fallout. Rooney was betrayed; betrayed by the fans with whom he shared his time, betrayed by the very people he sat down to have a drink with, betrayed by a smartphone assassin.
The Manchester United forward was letting off steam after - perhaps - the most difficult few weeks of his career with friend, the Everton defender Phil Jagielka. Dropped by his club and his country, he was nonetheless having a good time with everyday folk. Well I can guarantee he won’t be making that mistake again.

The photographs in The Sun newspaper are unflattering; maybe even a little humiliating. What’s even more embarrassing is that the pictures leaked out in the first place. The subsequent moral outrage and righteous indignation means this aspect of the story is buried.
It is the same thing with Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson. The Liverpool midfielders visited a strip club in Bournemouth the same night Rooney was drinking in the team hotel. It was reported – again – in The Sun. Whatever you think about strip clubs is beyond the point here. But these two – excellent, diligent professionals by all accounts - did nothing wrong yet were grassed up. You can be damn sure that For Your Eyes Only in Bournemouth won’t see another penny of Adam Lallana’s custom. Why? Lallana and Henderson were betrayed by the person who spotted them in the club and lifted the phone to The Sun.
Ex-England manager Roy Hodgson took the London Underground in October 2012 and found himself in the company of some fans who asked him about his team. Rio Ferdinand was unlikely to go to the World Cup in Brazil, Hodgson reasonably stated, as he was reaching “the end of the road”. Pictures were snapped, conversations enjoyed and all parties went happily on their way. That was, of course, until the images and quotes appeared all over the newspapers and Hodgson had some explaining to do to Ferdinand and other people at the FA. What treachery.

Prayers Won’t Take Nigeria Out Of Recession – Fashola

One of the chief outcomes of that particular incident would have been to make individuals involved with the England team reluctant to offer anything but the blandest soundbite – not only on camera as usual – but even to the public at large in football matters. Another avenue closed.

Midfielder Jack Wilshere has had to apologise on a number of occasions after pictures of him smoking cigarettes appeared online. There is plenty of criminality in football and behaviour worth condemning but for heaven’s sake smoking cigarettes is not one of them. People who snitch on smokers should have grown out of that sad act when they were kids. Absolutely pathetic and worse that Wilshere apologised.

MMM Popularity Continues, Scheme’s Website Ranks Top 5 Most Visited In Nigeria

England under -21 player Jack Grealish – meanwhile – was pictured sprawled out on a road in Tenerife while on holiday there in the summer of 2015. Again, a member of the public saw fit to snap him in this state and plaster the pictures all over social media. The resulting storm put the 19-year-old Grealish in the limelight and ensured he would have to put on plenty of contrition to get the puritans back onside.
This Rooney nonsense has led to inquiries, reviews and a total ban on players leaving the hotel for nights out on international duty. The FA is taking it all very seriously – that their captain and team-mate Jagielka spent a few hours in the company of people who will remember those interactions for life – the night they had a beer with Wayne Rooney.
The question should not be: Why did they do it? It should be: Why did we ever find out? Snitches.

How To Control Anything on Your PC with Your Android Phone

So if you do meet an England player out and about, shake his hand, get a picture by all means but don’t grass him up if he’s doing nothing wrong. Maybe then the trust might be restored between us average Joes and the professionals.
If they can’t have a drink, smoke a crafty cig, go to a strip club or even talk about football to fans without that trust being compromised then ask yourself the question… do you blame them for hiding away?

Pep's soldiers have soul! Man City's shrinking violets days are over

The Catalan says his side will not win the title playing scrappy football but the resilience he has instilled in this team will count for a lot when May comes around
Another away game, another gritty victory for Manchester City. Pep Guardiola says his men won’t win the Premier League playing this way but he surely does not underestimate the resilience he has instilled in this team in such a short period of time.

It is true that City’s 10-game winning streak, and the increasingly fine performances within it, seems a long time ago now. City are not dominating games, nor are they ripping teams apart like they did in August and September.
But, even if their results and displays have generally dipped in the last two months, their spirit has rarely been in question.
Considering many of these same players crumpled like a house of cards against any half-decent Premier League opposition last season, it is a remarkable achievement for Guardiola.

Alert :: How To Differentiate Between Plastic Rice & Original Rice.

He said in his very first press conference that it would take time for his players to play the way he wants, but that they could play with “soul” from day one. He was right about the form and he was right about their attitude.

This was yet another away game with all the hallmarks of a smash-and-grab defeat. Guardiola named a much-changed, but still strong, side. John Stones and Ilkay Gundogan, like at Crystal Palace last weekend, were rested, while David Silva started on the bench. Yaya Toure was in again but there was no Kevin De Bruyne.
Burnley were always going to fight, play direct and look for the second balls. When Dean Marney crashed in an exquisite volley inside the first 15 minutes, the seeds for a defeat seemed firmly sewn.

‘I told my baby mama I wasn’t ready to get married’ – Timaya

But, once again, City stood up and fought back. The first half may not have made for pretty viewing and Sergio Aguero’s equaliser was not one of his vintage goals, but they did not allow themselves to be bullied. Overall they looked untroubled, and while they did not play Burnley off the park they did carve open some good opportunities, most of which seemed to come to an end after some surprisingly inhibited play from Raheem Sterling.

The second half started as the first half ended, with City knocking the ball about and taking the sting out of the hosts’ approach. Burnley barely had a chance after they took the lead - not least because City learned their lessons from Marney’s goal and set their defensive line for free-kicks a good 40 metres from Claudio Bravo’s goal.

Bravo did make some routine saves at the death but they were the only scares as City, and this often maligned defence, rode out the storm.

AWCON 2016: South Africa, Cameroon qualify for semi-finals

It was not great to watch but it should not be underestimated. Liverpool have been beaten on this ground, Arsenal needed an offside, handball winner in the 95th minute. Turf Moor is a difficult place to go, especially so just a couple of days after a Champions League match.
City’s Premier League away form is formidable. Barring the aberration at Spurs, they have won every match. Guardiola discovered early on that his team will not be able to dominate for the full 90 minutes, so City’s ability to ride out the inevitable waves of pressure pleases him greatly.

The concern when he arrived this summer would be whether his City team could play their passing game at England’s most notorious away grounds. He showed at the first attempt, at Stoke, the most notorious of them all, that there is more to his methods than that.
City provided the latest example of that on Saturday lunchtime. With Fernando, who was excellent, alongside Fernandinho in the midfield, and Toure ahead of them, they posed a muscular threat, and one that was able to get stuck in where the boots were flying.

Nigeria in danger of missing 2018 World Cup as Giwa drags NFF to Supreme Court

It was not a day for shrinking violets - as Sterling discovered when he was bombarded with disgraceful chants of “You let your country down” and was relentlessly booed after being substituted - but on the whole City stood up to the test and, yet again, came out of it with a victory.
Guardiola will want his side to improve when they are in possession, but he has already laid impressive foundations. These kind of wins - like the ones at Stoke, West Brom, Swansea, Palace before them - count for a lot in a title race.

EFCC to Arraign Ex-governor, Ladoja in Court on Dec. 14 Over N4.7bn Fraud

Embattled former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja is to be arraigned before a Federal High Court next month following his indictment in a N4.7bn fraud.
Justice Mohammed Idris of a Federal High Court in Lagos has fixed December 14, 2016 for the second arraignment of a former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, who was accused of N4.7bn fraud, Punch reports. To be arraigned alongside Ladoja is Waheed Akanbi.
Justice Idris fixed the date of Ladoja and Akanbi’s arraignment on Friday after dismissing their application seeking a stay of proceedings on the grounds that they had an appeal at the Supreme Court.
Ladoja and Akanbi were present in court.
Justice Idris consequently declined the application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to issue a warrant for their arrest.
“The court will not make any order for arrest in the light of the appearance of the accused persons in court,” the judge held.
The accused were first arraigned in 2008.
They had subsequently challenged the competence of the charges filed against them by the EFCC all the way to the Supreme Court.
But the Supreme Court on April 15, 2015 dismissed their appeal for being incompetent pursuant to the provisions of Order 6 Rule 3(2) of the Supreme Court Rules 1999.
Following the dismissal of the appeal, the EFCC moved to open the case and to re-arraign Ladoja and Akanbi again before Justice Idris.
But Ladoja’s lawyer, Mr. Bolaji Onilenla, had opposed the bid by the EFCC to arraign his client the second time, saying he had gone back to re-list the appeal.
He said he re-listed the appeal on October 27, 2016 on the grounds that the appeal was dismissed by the Supreme Court without hearing it.
Onilenla insisted that his client had yet to exhaust the window of appeal open to him at the Supreme Court and contended that the EFCC could not cut Ladoja’s right of appeal short by rushing to re-open the case.
“What we are saying in effect, My Lord, is that our right of appeal still endures and it cannot be purportedly cut short on the altar of overzealousness of the prosecution to jump-start the trial of the case,” he told Justice Idris.
But in a ruling on Friday, Justice Idris dismissed the argument, holding that the request to stay proceedings pending the outcome of the re-listed appeal before the Supreme Court was against the provisions of Section 306 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.

We Only Stole $200, Phones from Basketmouth’s House – Robbers Confess (Photo)

Following the arrest of robbery gang that invaded comedian Basketmouth’s house, the suspects have confessed before a group of journalists.
Chibuzor Ugwu and Joseph Chimezie

More than two months after popular comedian, Bright Okpocha, AKA Basketmouth, was robbed in his home at Lekki, Lagos, the police have apprehended the suspects and paraded them before journalists at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters, Ikeja.
The leader of the three-man gang who attacked Basketmouth, 24-year-old Chibuzor Ugwu,  explained that they simply stumbled on the comedian’s house during their robbery spree on September 7. Ugwu, an Enugu State indigene living in Anambra State but came to Lagos regularly on the sole mission of carrying out robberies, explained that he was an internet fraudster for three years before he ventured into robbery.
He said, “Anytime I came to Lagos, I took my gang to vandalise vehicles and steal auto parts. We normally targetted Toyota and Honda vehicles.
“But the day we robbed Basketmouth’s house. We had operated on some vehicles in the area that day. We then peeped into a compound and saw a very nice car. When we gained access into the compound, we realised we could make more money by robbing the occuP@nts of the house.
“We then used a bolt cutter to enter through the kitchen. It was when we entered the house that we realised that it was Basketmouth’s house. We saw the pictures of him and his family on the wall.”

According to Ugwu, who said he had done nothing else than internet fraud and robbery since he left secondary school, as soon as they saw Basketmouth, they believed they had hit the mother lode.
The suspect said he pointed a gun he was holding at the comedian and told him to cooperate.
He said they were shocked the comedian told them he had no cash at home.
Ugwu said, “We thought we were going to find millions of naira at the house. He was begging us not to hurt his family. He said he did not keep cash at home. But we told him to cooperate so that we would just operate peacefully and leave.
“We searched the whole apartment and found nothing. We only got a $200 note in his wallet along with the mobile phones in the house which he handed to us.
“Eventually  we left with the little we could find, we were not ready to hurt him because it was clear he was telling the truth when we searched everywhere and found no money.”
He said the phones collected in Basketmouth’s house were sold to a friend he identified as Osama at the Computer Village in Ikeja.
Ugwu explained that he bought the gun he took to the operation for N80,000 in Benue State.
Saturday PUNCH leart that Ugwu entered the police net when he went to a police station to reclaim his vehicle that was impounded after he abandoned it on a road where it broke down at Ijeshatedo area of Lagos.
“I had abandoned the vehicle on the road for some days. When I went there to pick it, I was told the police had impounded it. When I went to the station to claim it, I did not know the police had previously arrested a friend of mine who knew about my robbery activities,”  he said.
The friend he was talking about is 21-year-old Joseph Chimezie.
Chiemezie said he met Ugwu in Anambra State at a joint.
“He is fond of buying drinks for young men at the joint. I told him that anytime he was leaving for Lagos, he should take me along with him so I could find a job,” he said.
He said the day he eventually left for Lagos with him, a member of Ugwu’s gang took him to Ilasamaja and handed him a bag containing guns.
According to him, he was told to take the guns to a house but on the way, the police stopped him. When they searched the bag, they found guns and arrested him.
Chimezie said, “I don’t know about when they robbed Basketmouth. I did not follow them. I did not know that the police were looking for them.
“When they handed me the bag containing the guns, I was afraid and would have droppped it and run away but I knew nowhere in Ilasamaja. All I wanted was to make a better life for myself in Lagos.”
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State,  Mr. Fatai Owoseni, said the suspects would soon be charged to court.
