TOPIC: Is Your Mind Evil Affected?
MORNING: Acts 14:1-7.
The mind is the brain box of the heart. It processes whatever it is fed with and gives out a corresponding result. This is why we must be mindful of what we see, hear or touch. The mind also serves as the breeding ground for both good and evil. From our text,we saw how the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren. Verse 2 of our text says,"But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren'.'It is sad to know that there are many Christians who act like the unbelieving Jews in our midst today. Example of such are those who have formed cliques in the church.Their major concern is to stir up hatred, malice, confusion, chaos and all forms of perverseness. They are very subtle to issues that it is often difficult to oppose them openly. Thus, are able to draw disciples to themselves.Beloved,is your mind evil affected against the church, the pastor or other members of the church? It is a pointer to the fact that you are under the manipulations of the ''unbelieving Jews''. From today, take note of those are walking disorderly and avoid them by all means before they ruin your relationship with both God and man.Don't allow them to affect you with their evil ways,Wishing you the best of the week!Prayer points: start with praise and worship.
- Thank God for another new day and for His word.
- Pray against every manipulation of the devil against your mind.
- Believing God for a sound mind and heart that fears him.
- Pray that God will disappoint all the counsels of all the ''unbelieving Jews''in our churches.
- Pray that God will touch the hearts of all those who take delight in evil works and change them for the better.
A church without evil men and women is not a complete church. How can we know how to pray harder; how can we know how to fast the more if we are not troubled by the activities of these evil ones? In verse 6 of our text, Jesus marveled at the unbelieving attitudes of the people. He had to strategize by sending out the disciples in twos. Rather than being discouraged or evil affected, Jesus involved Himself more in the work of His father. Learn from this and let no man affect you negatively.
